As of May 2021, restrictions include wearing masks and social distancing in classrooms 3 feet apart in geographic areas where transmission is low. If transmission rates go up, we will need to split classes to accommodate all students.
In the event that classes need to be split, we will split alphabetically so that all students in one family will be on the same schedule. Students will then meet twice a month instead of every week. In the off weeks, students are to complete the assigned session work on the assigned day and bring in completed work to their next in-class session. In addition, students will need to accrue and log their at-home spiritual development points.
Live Streamed Mass Attendance/Mass Attendance
As the celebration of the Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives as Catholics, students are to attend mass or a live streaming mass regularly utilizing their home mass kit which will be provided.
At home learning (as needed)
At-home learning will consist of completing one chapter per week in the provided textbook and completing and sending in unit assessments per schedule. Chapter schedule and unit assessments will be provided in the materials pack.
Spiritual Development Point system
In addition to at-home learning, each student in grades 1-6 must accumulate spiritual development points throughout the school year. The points are based on activities that can be done alone or as a family to nourish your spirits. The points needed per grade level and activities are detailed below:
Grade 1: 100 points
Grades 2, 3, and 4: 150 points
Grades 5-6: 200 points

You can also email me and suggest Spiritual Development Points for any activity that you feel increases your own family’s spiritual development.
5. Watch a once-a-month zoom lesson led by catechist (10-40 minutes depending on class level). Lessons will be on our website and password protected per class.
