Thank you!
Your response to all of our Collection Drives
was incredible once again this year!
It took several car loads to transport all of the
coat & blanket donations to St. Ann’s Soup
Kitchen in Newark — and all those toys were
delivered so that they could be given out to the
children at their Christmas party. In addition, all
of the clothing donations were
greatly appreciated by the men
at the Ozanam shelter in New
Brunswick.
Each year, you are so
generous in responding to these
collection drives. Thank you for
sharing Christmas's spirit and remembering those
most in need. God Bless You!
Our Mass schedule for the Solemnity of Mary, the
Holy Mother of God, a holy day of obligation, is as

December 31st
4 pm Vigil Mass
*Daily Mass will be
celebrated at 8 am on
Tuesday
Wednesday,
January 1st
8 am & 11:15 am
Boys and girls age 9-14: Sign-ups for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championships will be held after all Masses over the next three weekends: December 21/22, December 28/29, and January 4/5. The event will be held at 10 a.m. on January 12th in the gymnasium at St. James Church, Basking Ridge.
At the 9:00 Mass on December 29th, the parish will celebrate Baby’s First Christmas with gifts of a special blessing and a small remembrance of the day. If you are celebrating your baby’s first Christmas since your child’s baptism into the family of the Church, we invite you to join us for this very special Mass at 9 am on December 29, 2024. Please call or email Nancy in the parish office to let us know you’ll be attending so we may plan appropriately.
This weekend, we will celebrate Bambinelli Sunday. Pope Francis encourages families to bring the baby Jesus figurine from their crèche scene to Mass for a special blessing. This is a nice reminder to put up your crèche, and talk with your family about what it means, highlighting the humble origins of Christmas, and the meaning of giving.
On Monday, December 9th, we celebrate the Immaculate Conception, which refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary being free from original sin from the moment of conception in the womb of her mother, Saint Anne. Mass times for the holy day of obligation are 8 am, 12 noon, and 7 pm.
The parish Knights of Columbus thank all those who purchased a restaurant discount card for the benefit of The Food Bank of Somerset County. Your generosity raised $10,000 this year, an increase of $2,000 over last year’s effort. Cards are still available and may be purchased by calling the parish office.
