Once again this year, our Seniors Group “adopted” a local family for Christmas. The group purchased gifts for the family — wrapping those for the parents, and providing unwrapped gifts & paper for them to wrap all the gifts for their children. Pictured above is Msgr. Benwell with some of our Seniors Group members. The gifts filled an entire SUV! Thank you to our Seniors Group for helping to make a “Merry Christmas” for a local family!
A generous parishioner has donated “finger” rosary beads, which are in a basket on the table in the Narthex. Please take one, along with the prayer card.
For the third straight year, our Knights of Columbus council presented a check to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County for the funds raised by selling discount cards to local restaurants. The check, for $8,500 was $500 greater than last year’s donation. Making the donation to Steve Katz, executive director of the Food Bank, were Msgr. Benwell, Knight Dick Wellbrock and Knight Chuck Recenello (photo at left). Dining Cards are still available by calling Dick Wellbrock, 908-753-0590.
