At Thanksgiving time each year, we collect new clothing for the men at the Ozanam Men’s shelter in New Brunswick. Ozanam is a temporary homeless shelter run by Catholic Charities. This year we are looking for a new volunteer to take over this ministry. Our current volunteer, Irene, will be happy to work with you this year and “show you the ropes” (Irene has been organizing this collection for us for over 10 years!). The main responsibilities include: collecting the donations received each week (from the church narthex) and making the delivery to New Brunswick with all of the donated items once the collection is complete. This year, we plan to collect donations on the weekends of November 23/24, November 30/December 1 and December 7/8. This is an excellent ministry for a new family to take on as it is for a defined period of time and is done just once a year. If you are willing to give it a try or would like more info, please call Nancy in the parish office at 908-756- 6524 x 10 or email [email protected].
