Bambinelli Sunday

This Sunday, the 3rd Sunday of Advent, we celebrate Bambinelli Sunday. Pope Francis encourages families to bring the baby Jesus figurine from their crèche scene to Mass for a special blessing. This encourages us to put up the crèche, and talk with our families about what it means, highlighting the humble origins of Christmas, and the meaning of giving. Bambinelli Sunday is a beautiful old Italian tradition, that teaches about the Christ Child, and that all children are precious to God. Please bring the baby Jesus from your family crèche to Mass this weekend (December 16th & 17th) for a special blessing — and celebrate Bambinelli Sunday with us!
