You are invited to participate in a parish novena to St. Joseph, whose feast we celebrate later this month (Tuesday, March 19).
In his 2023 Apostolic Letter on Joseph, Patris Corde (A Father’s Heart), Pope Francis wrote that “the proper mission of the saints is not only to obtain miracles and graces but to intercede for us before God.” As a parish and as individuals, let us together ask for Joseph’s intercession in these challenging times.
The Novena to St Joseph is available HERE I am asking that you consider, individually or as a family, praying the novena from March 11 through March 19 for three intentions: for the return of inactive Catholics to the practice of the faith; for world peace and victims of war and violence; and for a personal intention close to your heart.
In addition to the novena, the parish will be offering the following:
A special Flocknote this week and next with an excerpt from Pope Francis’ Apostolic Letter and questions for reflection.
A morning gathering of prayer and fellowship for the men of the parish on Saturday, March 16, from 7:30-8:30 in the Parish Center.
The Knights of Columbus travelling image of St. Joseph, which will be in our church from March 16 -19.
Traditional St. Joseph pastries after the 8 am Mass on March 19, the Solemnity of St. Joseph.
I hope you will consider joining me and your fellow parishioners for these nine days of prayer and reflection. “St. Joseph, support in difficulties, protector of the Holy Church, pray for us.”
