The Parish Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 8th, following the 11:15 am Mass. An Evite email has been sent to all parishioners. If you did not receive the invite or you do not use email, please contact the parish office to RSVP. No tickets are needed, but we will ask for RSVPs for planning purposes. We will have a second diocesan collection taken up at all Masses next weekend, May 31/June 1. The proceeds benefit the Catholic Communication Campaign (national and local levels) and the Catholic University of America. Thank you for your support.

2025-26 Faith Formation Program Registration for our 2025-26 Faith Formation Program is now open! Last week, an email was sent to all the families who were registered in our program for the 2024-25 school year. This included the link and instructions for re-registering your child(ren) for the upcoming school year. Blood Drive Thank You! A huge thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday and donated at our blood drive with Wilson Memorial Church. 38 pints were collected which means 114 lives are affected! Your generosity is truly life-saving. We couldn’t have done it without you.

There will be a diocesan second collection at all Masses this weekend, May 17/18, the Collection for the Development of the People. All proceeds benefit the Church in Latin America, the Solidarity Fund for the Church in Africa, the Church in Eastern Europe and the Catholic Home Mission Appeal. Thank you for your support. On Saturday May 10th, we are offering an Easter Season retreat. The focus of the retreat will be on The Transforming Power of Confession. The day will start at 9:00 and run until 2:30. Find out more and sign up.

Our Next Food Donations Delivery is Thursday, May 15th Grocery items for the Food Bank and frozen meals for SHIP may be dropped off in the parish office in advance—or brought to the parking lot between 10 and 10:30 am on Thursday, May 15.

Our Knights of Columbus Baby Bottle Boomerang campaign, which benefits the Center for Great Expectations, has concluded. If you still have a bottle at home, please return it to the church and give it to either an usher or a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bottles may also be returned to the parish office at your convenience. Thank you for your years of support and for ensuring again the success of this program.

National Day of Prayer As you probably know, Thursday, May 1, 2025 is the annual National Day of Prayer. All are invited to attend the Somerset County observance of this day at the Somerset County Historic Courthouse steps in Somerville from 6:30-7:30 pm (7-8 pm at Crossroads Community Church, Somerville, if it rains). Mother’s Day cards are available on the table in the Narthex of the church. Please take a full set. All mothers will be remembered at Mass offered here in our church on Mother’s Day. All offerings will be donated to The Somerset County Food Bank Network, a local charity specifically dedicated to helping families in need.

The Feast of Divine Mercy, also known as Divine Mercy Sunday, is the Second Sunday of Easter (the Sunday immediately following Easter). This year, it is April 27th. Join us on Sunday, April 27th, from 3:00 to 3:30 p.m. for Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament followed by the recitation of the Divine Mercy Chaplet. The St. Mary Parish Monthly Gathering held on Tuesday, 04/08/2025, was the final session of our Lenten Bible Study on The Book of Revelation. Our gathering consisted of food, fellowship and great conversation. We concluded our study with chapters of Revelation 8-11 and determined that, as sometimes in life itself, we had many misconceptions of the messages being revealed to us. It is the magnificent Glory of God and our response to that Glory, that we ultimately need to consider.
